The Brazilian Air Force (Força Aérea Brasileira, FAB) H-60L Black Hawk helicopter has completed 30,000 flight hours in the last week of July, the service said in a release.
The aircraft is used for various missions such as armed reconnaissance, aerial transport, search and rescue, infiltration and exfiltration of troops etc. by the FAB.
The twin-engine utility helicopter is manufactured by the American company Sikorsky, which is now the subsidiary of world’s largest defence contractor, Lockheed Martin. The aircraft is powered by two 3,680 hp turboshaft engines and it has a cruising speed of 280 km/h.
