Goodrich Corp., doing business as Collins Aerospace, was awarded a $19 million undefinitized contract action for the Multi-band Overhead Persistent Infrared Payload (MBOP) effort.
The contract (HQ0850-20-C-0004) was awarded by the U.S. Department of Defense’s Space Development Agency (SDA). Fiscal 2020 research and development funds in the amount of $6.5 million were obligated at the time of the award.
MBOP is a flight-ready satellite payload with a unique, advantageous modular sensor configuration.
The contract work will be performed at the contractor’s facility in Danbury, Connecticut, with an estimated completion date of May 22, 2022.
