Comtech Awarded $9.1 Million Funding to Provide VSAT Terminals to U.S. Army

Comtech Telecommunications Corp.’s Mission-Critical Technologies group was awarded $9.1 million of additional funding to provide Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSATs) to support the U.S. Army.

The additional funding, including $7.8 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2020, is part of the previously announced $223.4 million contract. The contract has been funded $194.9 million to date.

“We are pleased that we have the opportunity to provide this mission essential equipment to our government customers. We understand the critical importance of these Army units and our team is poised to execute these orders to support the rapid fielding,” said Fred Kornberg, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Comtech Telecommunications Corp.

The Mission-Critical Technologies group, is part of Comtech’s Government Solutions segment, is focused on ensuring its customers are able to successfully carry out their mission, whether that be communicating in an austere environment on land or at sea, launching or tracking a satellite, or protecting the cyber security posture of their network.
