Indian state-owned companies, Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) and Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL) have signed an MoU for co-operation in the field of Defence and Non-defence products/systems.
Anandi Ramalingam, Director (Marketing) at BEL, and S Balakrishnan, Director (IS&P) at BHEL, signed the MoU on behalf of BEL and BHEL, at the DefExpo 2020 exposition.
The MoU aims at leveraging the complementary strengths and capabilities of BEL and BHEL to develop and market products and systems for Defence and Non-Defence. The MoU will also enable BEL and BHEL to make joint efforts to explore markets for products developed individually or jointly. The companies plan to jointly capitalise on the emerging opportunities in the domestic and international market, as well as leverage the policy initiatives of Government such as Make in India.
BEL is a multi-product, multi-technology, multi-Unit conglomerate having products in the areas of Radars, Missile Systems, Military Communications, Naval Systems, Electronic Warfare & Avionics, C4I Systems, Electro-Optics, Tank Electronics & Gun/Weapon System Upgrade in the Defence segment.
