ECA GROUP has delivered a new IGUANA Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) to the Monaco Police in early 2019 to enhance their Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) capabilities.
The Iguana E unmanned Ground Vehicle is the most optimal medium size UGV to support EOD/Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD) operations in demanding confined, or hard to reach environments. With its 40 kg payloads, it embeds an expandable range of equipment to provide a unique, easy to deploy and efficient robot.
The bomb disposal ground robot IGUANA E provides a complete solution in order to face any unconventional situation.
This new generation UGV integrates a large set of equipment and performs complex operations. Moreover, the UGV IGUANA E integrates intelligent solutions helping the operator to prepare his mission and reach his target in the most simple and ergonomic way. With its automatic mode the UGV IGUANA E is able cross obstacles independently and to intervene in places hard to reach. Thus, this robot can, for example, enter and inspect marine vessels, climb stairs autonomously or intervene inside an overhead locker in the plane.
Last year, ECA Group was awarded an over over €10 million contract to supply 15 Iguana E Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) and support equipment to the French Armed Forces.
