According to the tweet, the helicopters will help further develop a capable and sustainable AAF.
Afghanistan is expected to receive six Black Hawks this week, according to the statement by Defense Ministry on Saturday. The Black Hawks will eventually replace the Russian Mi-17 and Mi-35 helicopters currently in use by the air force.
A few months ago, the US announced that it will provide the AAF with 150 Black Hawks and other aircraft over the next four years.
