Yemen’s Houthi rebels have claimed shooting down of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Panavia Tornado combat aircraft, according to the group’s Al-Masirah TV.
The aircraft was reportedly targeted with a surface-to-air missile (SAM) as it was conducting a mission over Al-Jawf Governorate in northern Yemen.
“A Tornado plane belonging to the aggression forces was shot down in the skies of Al-Jawf Governorate while carrying out hostile missions”, Al-Masirah report cited Armed Forces spokesman as saying.
