Indian Air Force has shot down Pakistan Air Force F-16 fighter jet after it violated the Indian air space in Nowshera sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, according to Indian local reports.
The IAF has also pushed back multiple Pakistan aircraft, added the reports.
India has also reportedly activated its air defence system and its radars are on high alert to thwart any aggression from Pakistan.
Pakistan has also claimed shooting down two Indian Air Force aircraft after it allegedly crossed the Pakistani border and has also claimed the arresting of an Indian pilot. Maj. Gen. Asif Ghafoor, Spokesperson of Pakistan Armed Forces, said that out of the two aircraft, one fell inside Indian side of Kashmir while other fell inside Pakistan side of Kashmir.
In response to PAF strikes this morning as released by MoFA, IAF crossed LOC. PAF shot down two Indian aircrafts inside Pakistani airspace. One of the aircraft fell inside AJ&K while other fell inside IOK. One Indian pilot arrested by troops on ground while two in the area.

The situation between India and Pakistan continues to be tense as world community as appealed to exercise “restrain”.
