India’s DRDO Flight-Tests 500-Kg Class Inertial Guided Bomb from Su-30MKI Fighter Aircraft

India’s Defence Research and Defence Organisation (DRDO) has successfully flight tested a 500 kg class Inertial Guided Bomb from a Su-30MKI fighter aircraft at the Pokhran test range in Rajasthan on May 24.

All the mission objectives have been met and the guided bomb achieved the desired range and hit the target with high precision, said a statement released by the Indian Ministry of Defence.

The weapon system is capable of carrying different warheads, the statement added.

The flight test of the glide bomb came two days after the test of the air-launched version of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from an Indian Air Force (IAF) Su-30MKI fighter aircraft.
