Indonesian Navy corvette, KRI Imam Bonjol arrives in Port Blair, India

The Indonesian Navy’s Kapitan Patimura-class (Parchim-class) corvette, KRI Imam Bonjol (383) has arrived at Port Blair harbour in India’s Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Nov. 4.

The ship arrived at the harbour for the closing ceremony of 30th edition of India-Indonesia Coordinated Patrol (IND-INDOCORPAT).

The Indonesian Navy and the Indian Navy have been conducting CORPAT on their respective side of the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) twice a year since 2002.

The coordinated patrol is conducted to enhance mutual understanding and inter-operability between the navies, prosecute vessels involved in unlawful activities, conduct search and rescue (SAR) and take measures against sea pollution.
