Iran Seizes Foreign Oil Tanker with 12 Crew for Smuggling Fuel: State Media

Iran has seized a foreign oil tanker, with 12 people onboard, that was allegedly carrying 1 million liters of “smuggled fuel”, state news agency Press TV reported on Thursday.

The tanker was seized by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces in an area south of Larak, a small island in the Strait of Hormuz, according to a report in the semi-official Fars news agency citing an IRGC statement.

Fars report added that the IRGC denied seizing any other tankers.
