Lockheed Martin wins contract modification for MUOS support
Lockheed Martin Space Systems has been awarded a modification to the previously awarded contract for Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) engineering services, interim logistics services, spares and associated material.
The $92.9 million contract modification is awarded by Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command based in San Diego, California.
MUOS is a narrowband military satellite communications system that supports a worldwide, multiservice population of users, providing modern netcentric communications capabilities while supporting legacy terminals.
The contract work will be performed in Scottsdale, Arizona (90 percent); and Sunnyvale, California (10 percent), and is expected to be completed by November 2020.
