A Myanmar military Mi-17 helicopter carrying foreign military attachés crash-landed in a village in Shan State shortly after take-off on Friday.
According to local reports, three crews and at least one of the diplomats were injured in the incident. The reports added that the helicopter experienced mechanical failure shortly after take-off and had to make an emergency landing.
The photos from the crash site showed the helicopter with a detached tail boom.
The ill-fated helicopter was one of the four military helicopters that were ferrying diplomats and media to attend a press conference in Kaungkha Village. A huge cache of drugs and drug-making equipment were reportedly recovered earlier in the week in the area.
