A Pakistan Air Force Mirage aircraft has crashed during a routine training mission near Shorkot in Punjab province last week.
According to reports, the pilot ejected safely and no loss of life or property has been reported on the ground. A board of inquiry has been ordered by Air Headquarters to determine the cause of the accident.
Pakistan operates the Mirage 5 attack aircraft and Mirage III fighter aircraft. Mirage 5 is developed from the Mirage III and both aircraft are designed in France by Dassault Aviation.
In January, a PAF FT-7 trainer jet crashed on a training mission on Tuesday near the city of Mianwali killing both pilots.
