Qatar receives first batch of Super Mushshak trainers from Pakistan

Qatar had received its first batch of Super Mushshak basic training aircraft from Pakistan, the Ministry of Defence announced on 19 July.

The Qatari Emiri Air Force (QEAF) will operate the aircraft at Al-Zaeem Air Academy.  The Super Mushshak will reportedly be used for basic flight training, from which pilot trainees will move onto the service’s Pilatus PC-21  advanced turboprop trainer.

Qatar ordered eight Super Mushshak trainers from Pakistan in June 2016.

About Super Mushshak:

PAC Super Mushshak (Urdu: سپر مشاق) (“Proficient”) is a primary trainer aircraft, which is a more advanced, upgraded variant of the MFI-17 Mushshak.

It was designed by and is being manufactured at the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Aircraft Manufacturing Factory (AMF) at Kamra in Punjab province.
