A Russian Aerospace Forces Il-76 military transport aircraft arrived in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina to assist in the fight against the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The aircraft was carrying Russian military medics, specialists from the Russian NBC Protection Troops and five pieces of military and special equipment.

At the Banja Luka International Airport (Bosnia and Herzegovina), an advanced squad of Russian military specialists were met by President of the Republika Srpska Željka Cvijanović and member of the Serbian presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik.
“It is important to note that help arrived very quickly. This is a confirmation of our good relations and mutual understanding,” said Željka Cvijanović. “Russia itself is faced with the problem of coronavirus. Therefore, I am especially grateful to the Russians for comprehensive assistance,” said Milorad Dodik.
