Russian Tu-22M3 Bombers Perform Planned Flight Over Black Sea: MoD

Two Russian Aerospace Forces Tu-22M3 long-range bombers made a scheduled flight over the neutral waters of the Black Sea, Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced.

During the flight, crews of long-range bombers covered about 4,500 kilometers and were in the air for more than 5 hours. On the route, long-range aircraft were accompanied by fighters from the Southern Military District.

Long-range pilots make regular flights over neutral waters of the Arctic, North Atlantic, Black and Caspian Seas, and the Pacific Ocean, according to the MoD statement.

All flights of the Russian Aerospace Forces are carried out in strict accordance with the International Airspace Management System without violating the borders of other states, the statement added.
