Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, was awarded a foreign military sales (FMS) contract by U.S. Army Contracting Command to sell Black Hawk helicopters to Saudi Arabia, the Pentagon said.
The $3.8 billion worth contract is for a multi-year production effort including associated services for program system management, engineering, technical data and publications, the Pentagon said in a statement.
The manufacturing will be performed by Sikorsky at its Stratford, Connecticut facility. The completion of the contract is expected by June 30, 2022.
