Textron Defense Systems Awarded $51 Million for Minuteman III ICBM Multiprobe Antenna Procurement

Textron Defense Systems has been awarded a contract modification, worth around $51.26 million, for multiprobe antenna procurement in support of Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system.

The firm-fixed-price modification was awarded by the U.S. Air Force Nuclear Weapon Center (AFNWC) located at Hill Air Force Base in Layton, Utah. The contract work will be performed at Wilmington, Massachusetts, and is expected to be completed by July 13, 2029.

LGM-30G Minuteman III is a U.S. land-based ICBM in service with the U.S. Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC). It is the only land-based ICBM in service in the United States.

The ICBM is one component of the U.S. nuclear triad — the other two components are Trident submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBM), and nuclear weapons carried by long-range strategic bombers.
