U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III Conducts Emergency Landing in Afghanistan

A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III strategic airlifter made an emergency landing at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan with its nose landing gear retracted, on Oct. 18.

According to U.S. Forces – Afghanistan (USFOR-A) spokesman Col. Sonny Leggett, no injuries have been reported and the airfield is open only to military traffic. He added that no enemy activity was involved in the incident and that the incident is currently under investigation.

A video of the incident was uploaded in YouTube. The video showed the aircraft conducting the landing with its nose landing gear retracted.
