U.S approves sale of TOW anti-tank missiles to Bahrain

The U.S. State Department has approved the sale of BGM-71 TOW anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM), along with equipment and support, to Bahrain, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) said in a statement.

According to the statement, the total estimated cost of the sale is $27 million and the principal contractor is Raytheon Missile Systems.

The Government of Bahrain has earlier requested 107 TOW 2A, Radio Frequency (RF) Missiles (BGM-71-4B-RF), 77 TOW 2B Aero, RF Missiles (BGM-71F-Series) and 37 TOW Bunker Buster (BB), RF Missiles (BGM-71-Fl-RF).

The request also included Government Technical Support/Logistical Support, Contractor Technical Support, and other associated equipment and services.
