The U.S. military will participate in the 2018 Singapore International Airshow at the Singapore Changi Airport and the Changi Exhibition Centre, Singapore, Feb. 6-11, 2018.
The airshow is a biennial event and is the largest defense exhibition and biennial international tradeshow in the Pacific. This year’s exhibition will be the 6th iteration since its inception in 1996.
A cross-section of U.S. military aircraft and equipment are scheduled to be present through static displays and aerial demonstrations, including:
+ Boeing C-17 Globemaster III strategic military transport aircraft
+ Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawk unmanned surveillance aircraft
+ Boeing E-3B Sentry airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft
+ Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker aerial refueling aircraft
+ Boeing B-52 Stratofortress strategic bomber
+ Boeing P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft (MPA)
+ Boeing/ MD Helicopters AH-6 Little Bird light helicopter gunship
+ Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II stealth multirole fighter
+ Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor stealth tactical fighter aircraft
+ Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon multirole fighter aircraft
+ Boeing F/A-18E and F/A-18F Super Hornet carrier-capable multirole fighter
Through participation in airshows and regional events, the U.S. demonstrates its commitment to the security of the Indo-Pacific region, promotes interoperability, displays the flexible combat capabilities of the U.S. military, and creates lasting relationships with international audiences to strengthen the bonds that support partnership building throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
