U.S. Soldier Dies in Non-Combat Related Incident in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The U.S. Department of Defense, on August 19, announced the death of a soldier in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as a result of wounds sustained by a noncombat related incident.

The deceased was identified as U.S. Army Specialist Clayton James Horne, 23, of Atlanta, Louisiana who died on August 17.

Horne was assigned to the 351st Military Police Company, 160th Military Police Battalion, Ocala, Florida. The soldier was supporting Operation Inherent Resolve.

The incident is currently under investigation.
