U.S. Soldier Killed in Afghanistan in Vehicle Rollover Accident

The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), on July 4, announced the death of a soldier in Afghanistan as the result of a vehicle rollover accident.

The soldier was identified as Spc. Vincent Sebastian Ibarria, 21, from San Antonio, Texas. The statement said that he died in Farah, Afghanistan on July 3 while supporting Operation Freedom’s Sentinel.

Ibarria was assigned to the U.S. Army’s 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division based at Fort Drum, New York.

The statement added that the incident is under investigation.
