This is the first aircraft built in accordance with the list of tasks of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The previous IL-76MD-90A with the factory number 0108 was produced in 2015. During the tests, a number of changes were made to the requirements for the aircraft, which required significant modifications to the design.
The following IL-76MD-90A under the serial number 0110 is currently completing flight tests and is also preparing for transfer to the customer. To date, the IL-78M-90A advanced convertible tanker is also undergoing flight tests in Ulyanovsk.
In total, in 2019, it is planned to hand over 6 new transport workers to the customer, which should qualitatively enhance the capabilities of the Military Transport Aviation of the Russian Armed Forces.
